Lewie G. “Skip” Negrotto IV was born in New Orleans but has lived in Pass Christian, MS since 1972. He graduated in 1976 from St. Stanislaus High School in Bay St. Louis, MS and obtained a Bachelor of General Studies – Pre-medicine from Louisiana State University in 1986. Having obtained certification as a Nationally Registered EMT-Paramedic in 1984, Mr. Negrotto worked as a field medic, field training officer and EMS education coordinator during and after college. Prior to his admission into law school, he worked as a Safety Superintendent/Paramedic at various petroleum and petrochemical plants around the county.
Mr. Negrotto obtained his Juris Doctor from Ole Miss in 1995 and was admitted to the Mississippi State Bar that year. While in law school, Mr. Negrotto served as a summer law clerk for the late Honorable James Thomas, Senior Circuit Court Judge of the Second Circuit Court District of Mississippi during the summers of his first and second years of law school. He was the winner of the University of Mississippi Law School Steen-Reynolds Trial Competition, member of the Ole Miss National Trial Competition Team and a Moot Court Board member. Except for his five-year employment with the prestigious law firm Fowler Rodriquez (2010-2015), he has been a successful sole practitioner. He currently serves as the Prosecutor for the City of Pass Christian Municipal Court, as well as, a public defender for Harrison County Justice Court. He concentrates in the areas of contract law, real estate law, family law, personal injury, business law and criminal defense.
Mr. Negrotto is married with four beautiful children. He is very active in the community through his fund raising activities for his church and his childrens’ schools. In 2006 he served as King Christian LXXVI for the St. Paul’s Carnival Association. He is certified through the Kansas City Barbecue Society (KCBS) as a competition barbecue Judge. He enjoys competitive barbecue cooking, boating and fishing in his spare time.
